Bohemians's 6th Street Playhouse is currently staging 'Sister Act', a musical comedy adaptation of the 1992 Whoopi Goldberg crime comedy. The show, directed by Megan Bartlett, features a talented cast, including Majesty Scott as Deloris Van Cartier, Isiah Carter as Curtis Jackson, and Tracy Hinman as Mother Superior. The musical, with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, introduces new songs, such as 'When I Find My Baby', a creepy '70s soul-style number about Curtis's plans for Deloris. The show also features a colorful set, inventive choreography, and a talented eight-piece band. Despite some significant changes from the original film, the show delivers a fun and entertaining experience for audiences. The only point where the show and the film converge is with the character of Sister Mary Robert, played by Hannah Passanisi, who delivers a genuine emotional moment with 'The Life I Never Led'. The show runs through June 27 in the GK Hardt Theatre at 6th Street Playhouse, 52 W. 6th Street, Santa Rosa. Tickets are available for $32-$56.
