Bohemians have been ordered to pay the maximum amount of compensation – €26,000 – to former employee Dave Henderson by the Workplace Relations Commission. The WRC said that Henderson’s dismissal last November “was nothing more than a sham redundancy carried out in a ruthless and dishonest manner.”

What happened?

The former Bohemians goalkeeper was informed on November 30 last year by Director of Football Pat Fenlon that the board had told Fenlon to “get rid of me (Henderson).”

Why it matters for Bohemians

Henderson, 65, was employed by Bohemians as head of recruitment while he was also coach of the Women’s Premier Division team, as well has been involved in the academy.

Current context

As of the current season, Bohemians are standing 4th in the Premier Division with 54 points from 36 games, having scored 48 goals and conceded 39. Their recent form has been WLDLL, with a 2-game winning run. Their last result was a 4-1 win against Drogheda United on November 1, 2025.
